Yesterday, the Energy Future Coalition hosted a conference call
to discuss Congressional action on energy and climate legislation. David
Gardiner and Bill White of the Coalition were joined by Marchant Wentworth of
the Union of Concerned Scientists and Steven Nadel of the American Council for
an Energy-Efficient Economy. Together, they laid out why we need performance standards for
energy efficiency and renewable energy, how both work to minimize the cost of
climate legislation, and how important new clean energy transmission
infrastructure is to meeting renewable energy development goals.
